Brett tabke's post is very helpful i only wish i read it before i published my site...I have been studying my site for near 2weeks, I used meta tag analyzers and other tools to see how my site would look in search engines and if i had the right keywords. the rusults come back that all my pages (only 25 so far)are good for keywords and robots..thing is i still only get very few visits. maybe im worring to much about it as my site is only 3weeks old. I would just like to see more traffic...also i use <snip> which is free, how spot on are counters

3 weeks - well I guess you have to be a little bit more patient if you want your site to start bringing you a lot of traffic from the SE.

BUT

you can use other marketing techniques to try and create a BUZZ around your site and increase the page views / visitor count.

Re your counter - not sure about this one (never heard of it) but some are better than others - you should try to get google analytics - it's pretty good.
