I have just registered on Webmasterworld and therefore hope I am posting this in the right place. I have just registered a new domain but the site is not yet finished. It is going to be important that it ranks well so I thought I would create a index page with a few paragraphs of descriptive content, a good title and submit this to the engines. Is this the right thing to do or should I wait until there is more content? Any advice would be greatfully received.

rossk90... Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

I just recently asked the same question..

Basically the concensus was that letting the Search Engines know about your site as soon as possible is better then waiting for your content to mature.

I think someone said, better to start the clock ticking on it calling your domain new then convincing it the content is good.

Demaestro, thanks for your help, and your welcome. Webmaster world looks like a fanastic resource I have already spent hours browsing the forums.
