Hi

If i have a url like this:
www.domain.com/12/car/new/default.asp
And
www.domain.com/default.asp

With the same content in the default.asp page.

Are they ben giving the same page ranking by the SE?

Regards
Jens

Jens_denmark,

welcome to WmW. I am not 100% on this, but it is my feeling that the shorter you leave the URL the better the ranking will be. This being said, I don't really think that the SE's place a great deal of importance on this. I think it is more of safe-practice.

The shorter one will rank better - unless you have inbound links from other prominent sites pointing to the longer one.
