Can anyone give any advice on what is the best way to spend my time and what is a waste of time?
My story so far.....
My site has been indexed for about 3 weeks now and is #1 in msn for its brand name and page 3 for a big money kw but obviously no traffic as its msn! We got similar results with google but after about a week we are in the sandbox (if you believe it exists or not... filtered...whatever)and we've submitted to DMOZ, Yahoo Dir and smaller dirs. PPC didn't work out for us so thats out the window.
Lets just say we sell widgets. As there is no dedicated widget forum we have made one on a seperate domain but don't know how to use its full potential (link/not link to the commercial site etc?) This hasn't been spidered yet so we can change this a lot.
We have a widget blog too attached to the commercial site which we are planning to, on a DAILY basis, post about 'widgets in world news', 'a particular widget from our site' and 'a widget related joke'
On a WEEKLY basis we were planning to write a widget related article and get it syndicated.
As we don't ship widgets to the US we were going to point users in the direction of US widget suppliers by reciprocal linking.
As we have an inhouse 'widget expert' we were going to write a review of other uk widget suppliers, allow them to put the content on their sites in return for an IBL.
So far, that's what we've come up with. Has anyone got any ideas that i could have missed or can you spot a strong or week spot in that strategy?

I've read that post over and over and it'll be the main framework to my seo strategy. I only have one thing over and above the points in that post and that's a topical forum.
Has anyone got any ideas of how to make the most of a forum that is on a different domain? Should i keep it totally seperate? Should it look like the money site? Should it link to the money site? Should i link to it from the money site?
I wonder what's the best way to use it's full potential?
