Search engines - yes or no

Is it too hard to get into the organic SERP's today?

ok simple question for you all.

Do you think its now too hard etc to bother even trying to get into organic searchs?

OR

Do you still think its possible if we try hard enough?

Yes it is very possible. It also depends on what term you are going after. I got a term the other day with a brand new site that brings in 1 visitor a day. Just find 1000 more terms like that and your set.

A bit of a cliché but I still find that not enough people do this: Pay attention to your own surfing habits, daily routines, and passions.

How many times a day/week do you say to yourself, "Ergh, that sucks. Why can't someone (fill in the blank)."

Especially on the Web, I think those kinds of thoughts about sites and SERP's I see all the time.

So, next time you say that to yourself, let the little alarms in your head go off: You be that someone. Identify the need, make a plan, build a site better than anyone else has done for that unmet need. And boom, you got a business.

People keep telling me that it's too hard to beat the big guys now on the Web. Nonsense. Yeah, it's too hard to beat them at their own game. But it's not too hard to build better sites that provide better/sharper/clearer/more insightful information. This is the fundamental reason entrepreneurs have and always will succeed. Opportunity exploitation. :)

I would suggest simply avoid those SEO company those who implement tricks and gimmicks like link popularity schemes, or submitting your site to thousands of search engines etc. I mean you should do some research on the industry when you plan for getting SEO.

With the advent of "SEO" search engines have been seriously devalued.

Now more than ever when searching for something I use a lengthy, precise term.

Perhaps if people start creating real content, and not "made for SEO" content, they will get the visitors they want, those that find the information they want!
