Does changing the main site page title effect SE rankings?

I have a news site where I change the page title to include the date every day. Could this effect SE rankings at all?

I have been changing this daily:

<title>website title - Thu, 09 Feb, 2006</title>

Something I'm doing is causing google to change the PR from n/a to PR 0 on a daily basis and I'm trying to figure out what it is by a process of elimination.

Any advise would be much appreciated :)

I dont see it will have any adverse effect unless your additional pages is to be considered spamming, or it has duplicate content from other websites.
