Where do no referrals usually come from?

HI,

Analyzing my stats of my site, a whopping 53% of the traffic comes from 'no' referrals'? I don't know if this is normal and who are these 'no referrals'?

Is there any way to find out? Also anyway to guess who they are?

About 95% of my referrals are unknown. I still haven't figured it out.

From what I know Referrer = None can be due to the following reasons:

User types in URL.
User uses bookmark to site.
User browser does not send header with referral information.
Bot activity - but not sure about that.

I would be curious to know where the bulk of the other 47% of your traffic comes from? Yahoo, MSN, etc? Do you have any Google referals?

the rest of my referrals are mainly search engine - say 25%. Google brings in at least 20% of that I would say with it's main sites and all the other country specific sites.

I am still keen to know about the other referrals that i DON'T know about. Like they say, what you don't know can hurt you. Information is key.

Anyone knows how else to find you?
