Link Popularity

If a web site has a good link popularity, and I created a new page on the same domain name, would this page benefit from the sites link popularity.

So would [xxxxxxx.com...]

be better then

something on a base URL with no link pop???

I am not sure, but I think most SE's have a link popularity rating PER PAGE, and not per site.

so i odnt think if you have:

[yourdomain.com...] which has a good rating that

[yourdomain.com...] will also get a good rating, unless ofc, it has an incoming link from foo.html. and then again, I think intra-site links count less than extra-site links.
