I need some tools that give positions on keywords with the associated website.
So for example, I have web position gold (that I use just for the reports) and the results of the positions are some what inaccurate. Google uk/us, msn uk/us seem ok, but yahoo uk/us is all wrong.
So, rather than go on each search engine, and search the position of each keyword/site, I need something more automated if possible. Webposition is a start, but I need something else.
Please help
There is no such thing as an "accurate position". Positions may change from query to query, and sometimes little changes (like browser language or even browser version) might(!) affect the position. As you may not be aware of, search engines use different "datacenters" mostly for load-sharing issues. This is usually not transparent for a user, but you might get the result for one query from datacenter A and for the next query from datacenter B. This also affects positions.
The only reliable way to get the "exact" positions you see yourself is - to query them yourself! Make a small Excel spreadsheet, query your keywords, and enter its position associated with a date into the Excel. Might give you a nice and even useful historical report.
Of course this is not practical for a large number of keywords and/or a large number of sites. I don't know the tool you mentioned. I personally use WebCEO, but I guess once you accept that there is no absolute accuracy, you may find that the tool you already use might do the job just like any other tool.
Please be aware that search engines frown upon automated queries and consider this as a violation of their TOS. It's up to you whether you risk it or not. Some tools allow you to enter your own Google API key which allows for a certain number of automated queries per day (see [google.com...] If the number of queries is enough for you, then this is the safest way.
