Blog marketing.is it roughly the same as marketing a webpage

Hi,

Just want to know if the concepts of marketing a webpage and a blog is the same? I know there are RSS feeds somewhere involve and directories submission are about the same, other than that, I am clueless.

I noticed that Google's blogsearch and technorati updates based on relevance and date submitted. Do they only cache blogs or normal webpages too?

Also if you do a google blogsearch, you will see a portion on top that says 'Related Blogs'. It lists about 5 listings that are slightly indent from the others. What is that?

My postings show up there although it is most relevent to the search term and not related. Any idea why?

What is the best way to get exposure for my blog? TQ.
