I just came across the search engine jdgo.com and tried my product and keyword. To my surprise the #1 spot lists a competitor. But how much bigger the surprise to see that the description is _MY_ product and _MY_ product blurb.

I follow the link to the competitor and see no reference at all about my product, not hidden in their code either.

Now, jdgo.com does not state when the page was cached or any other information about how timely the info there is.

Anyone come across such a phenomenon yet?

addendum, since I don't seem to be able to edit the post:

sticky me if you want to see for yourself what I mean and I can sticky the details back.

It gets even more bizarre ...

I repeated the search with exactly the same parameters. Now my web site is #1, the competitor in question is #4.

After another repeat of the same search the competitor is at #13

jdgo.com seems to come up with different results each time

Has anyone seen something like this before?

I was not familiar with this particular search engine before you posted about it, but I have seen data cross-ups on each of the majors from time to time. It happens -- whenever there's a big pile of data that things can go awry. Smaller engines with smaller budgets and manpower may be even more susceptible.

Hehe. Have a look at their code. Multiple HTML docs (multiple instances of: head, /head, html, /html, etc.). Things like look like tracking pixels that aren't.

Searchfeed partner too.
