Hi

Our website has a good page rank of 5 but the SEO company will not listen to our major problem that the key words are wrong. 1 of the phrases does not even get searched for once a month according to overture figures.

Question 1: Do we just stop paying because it is not fit for purpose?
Question 2: If we got a good SEO company to change the key words would there be a quick impact i.e. get a first page ranking within 3 months?

Oh the website is www.<snip>.com and is UK based.

First of all, welcome to Webmaster World. Second, please read the ToS, as URLs are not allowed to be posted. Third, you should be less worried about keyword phrases being used and more interested in traffic received and conversions.

Overture is a tool that is easily duped and cannot be trusted in terms of number of queries. If you did your homework on this SEO company and ensured that they were certified, been in business for at least five years, and had good rankings themselves, I would listen to them and the direction that they wish to take. But looking at your code there are some clear errors than an average SEO would catch. You may wish to reevaluate your decision.

Cheers,

My advise. dump them.
You can do a much better job yourself. i have spent many hours myself (without pay of corse!) but im not impressed with what i achieved.

Pretty much if they dont listen. ask for a refund and go somewhere else.

(Please do not ask for my help, i have too much work to do myself)

What reasons do they give you for not changing the keywords to the ones you believe your site should be optimized for?
