Old doorway pages

Should I remove them?

Back in 2002 I contracted w/ an SEO expert. I have hundreds of doorway pages that I want to take down from my server. Should I take them down or just leave them? Do these pages currently hurt my rankings w/ Google?

If these are pages you don't want anymore, you should take them down. Best to remove the pages and let the SE's see a 404 or 410 code. So-called orphan pages can at time be indicators of shennanigans and are best avoided, in my experience.

Said another way, throw out the trash. ;-)
