ASP pages

I am new to SEO and I need a little clarification on asp pages and the sort. Am I correct in thinking thinking that asp pages have a difficult time in being picked up through search engines?

If so, then does it make a difference if the asp string is short and not long?

Any help would be great!

Thanks

Welcome to WebmasterWorld beasscr,

This is a topic that I have also had to deal with as many of my clients are also using ASP on their site.

First, there are a few thread you should check out here in the forum that should start you on your way:
http://webmasterworld.com/forum24/238.htm [webmasterworld.com]
http://webmasterworld.com/forum13/421.htm [webmasterworld.com]

and this is one that you should definitely peek at: http://webmasterworld.com/forum13/461.htm [webmasterworld.com]

There are some SE's that index ASP pages, but not ones with characters (like ?) in the URL

Check out those threads and I think you will find what you are looking for
