Change from Framed site to Non Framed

Hi All,
I am considering changing the design of my website to remove the frames, I know it’s impacting some of the search engines like Yahoo, Google doesn't seem to have a problem with them.

I am pretty high on the search results on Google, if I change my design will I loose my ranking? I am planning on continuing to use the same pages where I can , some are html which I won’t be able to use I will have to convert to php and the remainder are php which should be ok.

My default page is default.htm, if I change it to index.php will that affect my rating and my my PR?

This was my first website, sot I did things probably not the most effective way.

I would suggest that not to change it as its already getting good rankings especially in Google. Also, when you change the url of the page from .htm to .xyz it would change the page rank and may cause drop in rankings. So, it would be much better if you do not make changes.
