Is it possible to get a website into a good search engine position with out much content.
By this i mean i want to have a really basic home page with 3 red boxs and about 50 words in total.
How would get into the search engines with this little amount of words.
Anybody?

It depends on the competition.

Then you pretty much have an invisible website. Unless of course there are quality inbound links pointing to it.
You're going to need some content to go with that website. ;)

The competetion is massive - the company had 54% of the whole market and everyone would have heard of this company.
They are exensive and i want to offer a free service.
Quality inbound links i can see is going to be a problem should i concentrate on having more content on the home page?
thanks adam

One page? Why not flesh it out into a whole site - at least a couple of pages.
Then links should be a little easier to come by.

You can really gain Page Rank 9 with that much of content-by getting enormous backlinks. only if the content is about discovery of a thing that gets you...
