Welcome Sudeepa,

Your asking a loaded questions, because there are too many things to keep in mind when you optimize your website to mention all of them here.

I know this is not the answer your going to want to hear, but read and read and read all the different problems others are having in this forum. You will learn so much from those posts.

You can do a searh for questions you may have in the site search. Although it is not working right at the moment. I'm told that it will work again in the next couple of days.

It takes time to get a website to the top of the search engine listings, so keep that in mind and read all you can in this forum.

Good luck

Make liberal use of <h1> and <h2> headings to emphasise key phrases to the search engines.

Keep individual pages as small and focused as possible.

Use <title> tags

If possible, name you pages with the keyword they apply to, eg, for a page about widget a try:

www.mydomain.com/sales/widget_a.htm
