Couple questions. I hope you can answer.
Well,
Q.1. I have seo software that says i have "keyword weight %".
Q. Is this the same as "keyword density"?
Q.2. As far as seo of a webpage, i read that the page word density should be around 5% to 20%.
I checked other similar websites to my keyword that ranked well and i found that one of them had *only 1.2% keyword weight* in the body.
(It is highly ranked. Also it has a 98% prominence for the keyword. It appears only 4 times in the body and has 664 words total for the webpage.)
Q.2. Should i see this as a good percentage to go for since the site is highly ranked?
Q.3. Or is this too low a percentage?
Q.4. What percentages have you used or are using that give you good rankings for a single webpage?
Q.5. Could you please list your keyword prominence percentage, amount of times you use your *keyword* in your page, kw weight, your total amount of words for your page and the rank of the page?
If you don't mind, i'd like to see your percentages for a single webpage to compare your rankings.
Ex.
>kw frequency(amount of times kw appears on page)=4
>kw prom in body=100%
>kw weight=98%
>total words in body=664
>ranking= pr 3
Please answer each question.:)
Thank you to everyone for your help:)

I have one page devoted to Acme Widgets. The phrase Acme widgets appears five times, or .90% of the total number of two word phrases on the page. The page is #5 on Google out of 275,000 results for "Acme Widgets."
Another page is for Bob's Widgets. That phrase appears 48 times, or 6.23% of the total number of two word phrases on the page. The page ranks #7 on Google.
Another page is for California Widget Stores. That three-word phrase appears 8 times on the page, or 2.61% of the total number of three word phrases. It ranks #3 on Google out of 458,000 results.
Other pages on my site have single keyword or two-word key phrase densities of 12% to 20%, but rank similarly.
I should mention that I'm counting title tags and meta tags as well as page copy.
