I was wondering if anyone has any comments on the book 'The unfair advantage book on winning the search engine wars' and also what books you might suggest for someone who is looking to learn SEO properly.

Thank you in advance

Hi jdvjdv,

I don't think that reading a book or (ebook for that matter) can help you learn seo properly.

SEO is a lot of trial and error, the basis of SEO can be learnt on or offline, but for the latest 'trends' and ideas, I believe that you found the best place to learn.

There are loads of very valuable posts here, (try the forum library - [webmasterworld.com...] and also this post [webmasterworld.com...] from Brett to learn what to do and how to do it - and the main advantage of this forum compared to a book is the level of information sharing.

If you have a question, or and idea that you would like to try, and if you're unsure of its benefits, you can always ask here someone might have already done it.

Hope this helps

Leo

I agree with Le_gbert. You found the right reading material right on this forum.

By the time anything gets into print, its outdated. The net, the search engines, the environment,
all of this just changes way too fast. A snazzy new idea in April gets shot down in May.
