How to name your files?!

On my new site I decided to take a different approach for naming the files. Instead of naming them article01.php, article02.php and so on I want to name them title-of-article-01.php, title-of-article-02.php, and so on.

What I'm worried about is that some titles will be very long (reach 30 characters or even more) and search engines could have problems in following or indexing them.

Could there be any problems or am I worrying for nothing?

No problem.
SE simply cut off the exceeding text.

Hi Specter, thanks for replying.

I don't care if the text is cut off, I just wanted to know if the file can be indexed. I guess this means it can. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it - they will get indexed. I doubt google is using a Macintosh (OS 9, 32 char limit.) to run their bot :P
