Longer phrases do the best?

I've heard using your key in H1 beggining is good but it's better to put a long phrase instead just puting a 2 or 3 keyphrase only.

Is that true? If so, why?
Do you notice any better in performance in any of these cases?

It depends for which SE you are optimizing for..From my experience MSN is happy with the long phrases but google is happy with only the keywords to be displayed in H1 tags...

Thanks! I optimize for google and perhaps everybody does the same. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Does someone have anything concrete about the influence of H1 lenght?

Remember the more keywords you add to your H1 tag, the lower the kw density is.

I would recommend 2-4 words.

You are right about density but in that case putting your 2 words keyprase would do the best (100% density) and I'm not sure about it...
