I have heard mixed reviews about blogging. The more I research about how to get my site seen the more confused I get. Should I spend time out of my day submitting my site to blogs and pretending to be a happy customer? For example I had recently submitted a thread to webmasterworld.com about "submit site" questions and when i went to yahoo.com I typed that in and crazy enough my webmasterworld thread is on the frist page, how crazy is that? anyone can help me! thank you in advance

I would include this into your daily routine if you have the time. But, I wouldn't make it the sole way to obtain site exposure. I would never put all of my eggs or time into just one thing.

Take a look at what Google did recently with the blog no follow attribute. Everyone that spent their time finding blogs for that purpose lost those backlinks in the last update after googles announcemnt of this.

Your site may still show up on that blog, but the link is worthless for all other purposes - unless that blog has so much traffic that you get click through traffic.

I would also submit to directories, obtain quality backlinks from on topic sites, submit articles and do a few press releases.
