Site indexed in 48 hours.

Is there such a thing?

I once got a site listed in the majors within 48 hours using Ineedhits. It cost me £2.50 and it worked - that was a fews years back.

I recently tried it (7 months ago) but didn't get the same result this time around. So my question is:

Does such a service still exist, or is it impossible to do?

It's impossible to do. SEs has been "updated";they want just to prevent that this possibility can be repeated in the future.

There is also a big difference between getting a new domain/site indexed and getting a new domain/site ranking within 48 hours - do not confuse the two.

I have gotten pages listed in less than 24 hours. But sometimes it takes weeks to get actually indexed with real PR etc.

I believe we are talking about new domains/sites and "not" pages. Pages of established sites can be indexed and ranking in hours.

The fastest I have seen a brand new URL show up for us in Google is about 2 days. But that was only a couple of pages, it tooks weeks for most of the other pages.

i took a less competitive - but highly related - 'nichy' keyphrase, and spent hours daily on link trades using that keyphrase immediately after uploading the new site. it worked.

If your site was indexed my organic means, two nano seconds before you manually submitted it, you may think that your submission and the speed it was indexed is worthy of an entry in the Guiness Book of Records..despite other activity.

A few years back, lots of things were different and I often equate internet years as 'dog' years. 1 internet year = 7 normal years.

I started SEO in 1996 but it wasn't called SEO and Google was a twinkle in the eyes of a couple of Stamford students.

I've been surprised and shocked at how quick I've seen high rankings and indeed remember those £2.50 deals.

Because of other strategies, I can't remember the last time I actually submitted a site to search engines.

Getting back to Bodyguard's original question..DIY is the answer. Optimise and build.

Personally I think that the only reliable opinions are the ones expressed by The Contractor and Peewhy that finally seem to agree with my first comment:

If your site is spidered and indexed at the speed of light, the timing is perfect.

Once you have done all the back office stuff, you're in the hands of the Cyber Gods ..and may they shine upon you.

I just forgotten to add that recently it happened me to have a web site indexed before I created it!

I remember the days when you could submit your URL to Infoseek and it would be indexed within minutes. AltaVista would index within a day or two. Things have really changed since those days.

I was indexed and ranked for a moderately niche site and multiple keywords the first day out, too. Miracles (and a good messageboard community) can work wonders. :)

Let's talk real life terms, i have brand new website submitted at google last week , and i am counting?

Veterans any clue how long it will take my site to he get indexed? i am new to webmaster world.

Twelve weeks isn't unusual but if you have it optimised fully, you might see it in a couple of weeks. Check your log files and see if you have been crawled.

Hi,

You have to enter the control panel of your web site that the hosting company has provided you with the domain.If you are not able to find it ,contact them.

However ,only for info,there are some low cost hosting packages that don't allow to access the log file of the site.
