Golden Rules for SEO from the bottom up.........

I was thinking about creating a "Golden Rules" sort of guide that i could give to my Web Design Department to make them aware of the Main and Important SEO factors that should take on board at the design stage of building a website.

This is more to make my job alot easier in the Future as well as further educate them.

I would appreciate it if other members could give me there 2 cents on the main things they think important to highlight.

Just print a copy of that for them.

Navigational Structure is very important both for the view, and the spiders/bots.

Make it easy to navigate with clean visual and underlying code. Also be sure to use a structure that is pleasing to the bots. Use some keywords in the filenames here and there. Just don't overdue it.

I usually do the navigational structure on paper, then build.
