Will a list of referers on my home page affect its listings?

That is, would automatic reciprocal links be bad?

I want to put a list of referers on my home page (e.g., top 100 referrals which is a list of what website people came from to get to my site and / or what search they used to get to my site).

Then I thought about how one-way links are more valuable than reciprocal links (right?).

So would this be a bad thing to do? What about if I didn't list sites that linked to me but only searches?

Also, would algorithms judge a link back from the home page the same as it would a link from the page to which I was linked TO?

Any time you subjugate your linking process to a bot, you are asking for trouble. Link only to good neighborhoods. This will guarantee that you will link to some bad ones.

What about just searches, then?

Sorry, what do you mean by searches? Who is searching what and what are you linking to exactly?

I have a general-interest entertainment website. I get a lot of links from message boards and I get a lot of referrals for certain search terms.
