Say hypothetically one would like to target niche keywords by making separate sites while using the best way to increase search engine ranking [webmasterworld.com] possible, and link all these sites together...are there any conceivable problems with this, especially since they are hosted on the same server? I heard a little while ago something about the SEs going after site networks and wondered what the hitches are. There wouldn't be any funny stuff, just a lot of cross linking.

Try to get unique ip's that are not in the same block. Something yyy.yyy.yyy.zzz where zzz is a unique cblock. Also try to use unique whois information if possible. Different email addresses and different mail addresses if possible - just something that a bot can't compare.
