I thought a quick survey might be of use.

Which is one area of promotion that you spent the most time on last week ?

I'll start the ball rolling with

Finding and submitting reciprocal links.

Building content, optimizing existing content, getting links, submitting links to SEs, and trying to think outside the marketing box.

Analyzing Directory results and then submitting to the appropriate (sub) category which has the #1 listing in Yahoo (i,e, for any search term, there might be 20 different categories which display relevant results, so I'm making sure what is being submitted is displayed in the first category).

Does reading WMW count?

This week, between the Altavista thing, and the Excite/ Findwhat news, this place has become more valuable than ever.

Also, researching and developing an adaptive neural network to provide the same functionality that people do. :)

Spying on the competition, (i think we all do this), and trying not to step on the toes of sales people (don't ask.)

Installing & configuring new web log analysis software. Urchin Pro for anyone interested. Difficult to configure but extremely fast.

Hi Dan, welcome to WmW.

I'm still working on tech Vortals. Finished up my first batch of submissions to an IT site. Going through more bookmarks to find suitable sites to submit to.

Doing my regular submissions as they come up and will submit a few sites to international engines this week. And as usual, researching at WmW daily.

> Cleaning my desk

lol, must get around to that.

This week: updating the non-english content on sites - and realising how much I've neglected this recently :o
