Squeeze every last indexable character from Title?

83 characters in Google title allowed, 66 displayed. Use all?

Since the page title is more weighty in terms of keyword value, is it best to use every available character in order to maximize keywords?

About 15 characters may get truncated off the end, but that's enough room for one more keyword phrase. If the truncation doesn't take away much from the flow and readability of the title, is it best to use the whole thing?

Or is a short snappy title more effective?

Thanks.

Hi jamie,

Pick a title that is catchy and includes your keywords in there, the trick is to get people to click on the title of your site and not to look as if your title is keyword stuffed, this will mean nothing to the surfer, and even if the site is high up it may still be missed or get very few clicks.

Go for a descriptive title that that is relevant to your website, and use no more than the characters allowed in google.

You may have to experiment a few times until you have the title that works for you.

As the title is still of the upmost importance for google, take your time, it will be worth it in the end.

Question:
Should the words used in the title also appear in the page text of website?
I have been picking the title from words in the page text.
Do I need to do this?
Would I be penalized if they are not there?
