Title attribute
A good title is important and use your keyword at least once

meta description
use text from the body text and no more than 3 keywords

meta keywords
about 10 keywords with the important words first and don't repeat more than 3 times

Put these on all your pages, the search engines don't take them into account now but they may do in the future

These are equally as important
Body text
Most important item of all

Anchor text
The text used to link either external or internally

A good place to start
