In an old case from 1999 that got a great deal of press at the time, the ftc has settled out of court a case involving an Australian page jacker:

I cannot comprehend the mindset of wanting to ensnare unwitting or unwary people into adult-oriented sites by using redirection methods on terms such as "child car seats".

I am certain there is a snarling, slithering, slimey motivator behind the scenes with which, I thank God, I am not aquainted.
