I can't be very specific because I don't know what are the products but here is what I would do:
-- Carefully choose the words used in each product description and do some repetition for important words
-- set up 2 or 3 descriptions of the site / products proposed (150 characters, 250, 500)
-- identfity the right portals (search engines / directories) for selling product of the given category and add the site url.

If you are looking at from a customers view, you should have pages relating to FAQ's, background on your company, - there was an excellent post on here recently about all the 'incidental' pages that you should have - are you saying you don't have any of these?
Unless you are in a very niche market with no competition, you need to update your product range to encourage customers to come back. If you only sell 5 products and only sell those 5 product year on year, then you'll be losing out.
That's one of the reasons I LOVE this business, you can find a new product, and a day later you're selling it. Perfect.
Research your 'average' customer and look at other products that this average joe would be interested in.
You'll notice I haven't talked about improving your ranking - get your site right for your customer and then work on your rankings.
