Any good SEO related books to recommend

We need some good current SEO/SEM books that are suited to a technically oriented person who has familarity with SEO basics but who is not an expert.

We are trying to jumpstart the SEM learning process and plan to utilize these resources along with reviewing the forums and attending seminars. Any suggestions of materials you have found particularly relevant and helpful?

It seems like much of what is written is incredibly basic or dated. Any suggestions of good SEO related literature on the market? PDF format is fine, and may be more current.

I would suspect any book published would be potentially out of date so quickly as to make it almost worthless.

I would recommend checking out previous posts on this site, all the basics are there and provide a great foundation.
Check back regularly and you can keep up to date.

This site is a fabulous resource - I doubt you can do any better.
