Getting high listings for password protected content

SEO'ing a site where most the the content is subscription based?

Can anyone help me. We have a site where most of the content is subscription based and we want to go get established in SE's without compromising our material. Any ideas?

Why not provide a summary of each article / area of content outside of the password protected areas?

Each summary should contain enough relevant keywords to achieve a good ranking for keyphrases.
