I am launching a new B2B website and have come up with this checklist. I'd appreciate some feedback and maybe some links that will help.

2)

I would say building quality, keyword focused content should be near the top of your list.

zakali, the "26 Steps" article is fabulous, and these should help a bit with the specific questions you're asking:

A list of major search engines and directories and where they get their results

Pretty up to date - from April of this year

Major Search Engines and Results Providers [webmasterworld.com]

What else?

This is just a brief check-list of points to look at, deliberately very sketchy to keep it as brief and simple as possible so it wouldn't be overwhelming

Google Optimization Basics - Handy Quick List [webmasterworld.com]

There are many more, including a few dynamite posts in the Supporters forum. And for PPC (Overture & Adwords), really - going through those individual forums one at a time and then asking specific questions you have would be a big help.

Also go through the library here in this forum and the New to Web Development forum; there's a lot to be found, but it does take some hunting for specific answers.

I'm on a new computer so I don't have all the necessary bookmarks, but hopefully some others will come along and post links for you to some of the other threads that get into details.
