Weighting ranking results?

I've developed a formula to calculate the weighted results of rankings across multiple SE's. I'm not a stats major, so this could be flawed, but it seems to provide accurate results relative to other data in the same set. Let me know if you have any better methods to calulate.

FORMULA

(Ave Rank of Keyword where keyword places in top 30)*(total number of engines in report)/(number of engines in which keyword places)

For example, if a report includes 10 engines and a keyword only ranks in two engines in positions 1 and 5, the formula would produce this result:

((1+5)/2)*10/2 = 12.5
