Is there anyway to see how many times a keyword is searched?

I am wondering if there are any services where I can enter a keyword or list of keywords and return the number of times that keyword has been searched recently? Any suggestions?

Thanks
Tom

Would it be possible to subscribe to WT and use their 'search count' to stream a list into a commercial application? For example the application would send a list of keywords and return the count for each within the program. Is that possible and/or acceptable per their TOS?

Does any here use WordTracker in a profitable manner? May I ask how you apply the info they provide?

I am also dying to know how they get their search counts from all the engines?

Thanks
Tom

PS, this forum cracks me up with their editorial rules.

Wordtracker is a very pretty tool, and it's easy to use; but I distrust the demographics of its data and its small sample size.

Take a look at this recent thread and the threads it links to....

The best keyword tool?
Which keyword tool is best?

We have been using the free program from www.GoodKeywords.com for about 3 years and have had great results with it. Most other professional SEOs use WT and swear by it, but I think it depends on what kind of SEO you are doing.

GK uses data from the Overture suggestion tool, but makes it much easier to use the data and put it into a spreadsheet, which is what we do when building our scored lists.

One more PS about WordTracker... Their KEI oversimplifies the process of evaluating targets. It would be great if it were that easy.

I agree, but it doesn't bother us. We feel it tends to throw the competition "off the scent" so to speak...
