Wild flower vs. wildflower

I was referred here by an acquaintance. I tried to search for prior threads but either this subject hasn't been addressed recently or I'm using the wrong search words (probably the latter).

Let's say you are selling wildflower seeds (I'm not, it's just an example). Some people search it as one word (wildflower) and some search as two words (wild flower). So, your website meta tags, title, text and ALT tags are filled with both versions of the spelling. How do you get the search engines to pick up both words? Whatever I'm doing, it's not right. I'm popping up with the spelling as one word but not as two words.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I'm not yet happy with the answers...

Thanks, pmkpmk. Your thread was pretty much on point. I don't know how I missed it but I did. After reading about your problem, all I can say is Yikes!, I would rather have my problem. At least there are only two different ways of spelling my word. I'll be watching your thread with interest. Thanks, again.
