Multiple domains same host

Links between co-hosted sites

I run 2 similarly themed sites using the same host, I want to add a third site on the same theme. (It's a broad topic) I currently use minimal links between sites as I understood that the major search engines frown on this, is this really the case? and if so would I be better off placing the new site with a different hostin order to benefit from the existing PR of the other sites.

I wonder about this as well. We host our sites ourselves, so all of our sites (3 major ones with overlapping content) share the same IP.

Hosting the stuff ourselves was due to cist considerations. I'm reluctant to out-host them and have again to pay for the server...

My new site is being hosted on the same domain name.

My designer ensures no problems with redirecting.
