Hi Guys,

In a recent newsletter I get from a large competitor, they state...

"If you run a website sign up free to become an affiliate and get on the road to making some easy money.

Our Affiliate Program will pay you up to £50 for every visitor who links from your website to US! "

Surely that's not playing fair and contrary to internet ethics? Should I report them and to whom?

Cheers!

Why is it not playing fair? I am not sure I quite understand what they are saying. How can a visitor link from your website?

If they mean a vistor comes from your website via your affiliate link and you can earn upto £50, that is pretty standard affiliate practice.

Yeah it sounds to me like they mean to say, "You can make up to $50 if a visitor clicks a link on your web site and visits our web site and buys a product" - like said a standard affiliate thing.

Thanks guys. I have visited the detail of the offer and you are right - it's a standard affiliate thing. False alarm - sorry!
