Hi to all,

Actually I have developed a site example.com and I have submitted this site in google, yahoo and bing webmaster tool. Google webmaster is showing page indexed around 100000 out of 1000000 page submitted. But when I see example site indexing using site:example.com at google, yahoo and bing site then google showing lumsum 400 pages in google indexing and same problem with yahoo and bing so I am don't understand why example site index is not increasing. Please give me suggestion about this indexing problem.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

There can be quite a delay between pages being spidered for the index and actually appearing in the index, especially for very large sites.

In this case, best to wait and see if the pages start to appear over a period of time. If not, then there may well be other reasons why the search engines choose not to list them.

The issue you have mentioned is completely normal. Slowly you would start to see increase in the numbers shown by site: query.

For one of my client site the Google webmaster shows 2.5 lacs pages indexed out of 5.6 lacs submitted while site: query only shows 80K.
