I have 2 sites and are targeting highly competitive keywords. Let me give you a brief summary:

Page 1:
Target Keyword: [Location] Jobs
Keyword Competition: 101,000,000
Domain Age: 2 years
Page Age: 2 years
Internal Links: 30
Inbound Links: Yahoo SE - 64 (App. 20 Unique Domains) w/ more than 60% having exact anchor texts.
Current Google Ranking: 20

Page 2:
Target Keyword: How To Make A [Widget]
Keyword Competition: 85,300,000
Domain Age: 8 Months
Page Age: 2 Months
Internal Links: 4
Inbound Links: Yahoo SE - 248 (App. 32 Unique Domains) w/ more than 50% having exact anchor texts.
Current Google Ranking: 21 (But this ranking is pointing to the domain)

Both pages come from 2 different domains with different topics/industries. Both pages have on-page optimization implemented (from Page titles, meta description, H1 tags, Alt-Image Tags, keyword density, etc.)

Both pages were nowhere to be found on Google results for their respective keywords 3 months before. I was able to achieve their current rankings in a span of 3 months optimization and link building.

My question is aside from increasing inbound links, are there any other strategies which I can adopt/implement to break into page 1 of Google results? Given the facts above, can you actually have a decent time estimate as to how long before you can land into page 1?

I'm happy with the work that I've done for both pages but I'm looking to grow my skills and knowledge in optimizing for high competitive keywords so any suggestions/tips/strategies are very much welcome!

Thank you!
