Optimizing for a lot of keywords

How can I achieve this?

A potential real estate client wants me to optimize their website for roughly 100 terms, however their website is only 6 pages.

Because it's only 6 pages, my opportunity to use these keywords in the title tags is limited. Sure I can work maybe 15-20 terms between the 6 pages. But what can I do about all the remaining terms. It's my understanding that you really have to have a keyword in the page title to realistically rank well for that term; just having it in the text on a page is not enough. Am I correct?

Any thoughts on how to optimize for a lot of terms?

Build more pages. If they need the keywords you are going to have to create more pages of content.

I'm no expert, but it sounds to me like your being asked to build a wall with 6 bricks. I think you may need to explain what is manageable with the pages you have, they need to be a bit more realistic IMO.

sem4u has it, you need to build pages to concentrate on the keywords that they want to rank on. Larger sites with information tend to do better.

Content is king

boston,

may i add one more little thing to your vault of ideas....way too many realtors and real estate related sites use CGI and java/asp scripting pages for their linking directories...could someone PLEASE get the word out that these *framing pages* do absolutely nothing in the world of reciprocral linking and may actually be penalized...with that said, if you build it in html, they will come :)

also, if you do build a link page in html, ill be happy to add you to my html linking directory...i have a realtor team site

hey boston
yes you are going right with the keywords, keywords in the title is the most important part of SEO. after title it is the description and if both have some common targeted keywords then the page will surely get good ranking.
