My question is in regards to URL shortening services. Do the search engines give the same weight to shortened URLS vs the regular, longer version?

For example:

[sitenamehere.com...]

vs

[shortenedurl.com...]

OR - is this giving the link juice to that URL shortening service?

Thank you.

welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], naitsirch26!

if the url shortening service has properly implemented a 301 Moved Permanently response to redirect to the "regular" url, the benefit should go to the "regular" url.
