i'm running multiple ad groups. i want to track impressions and clicks for keywords and ads from one location rather than going into each adgroup. can this be done with AdWords Editor? is there another free tool available? Thanks.

If you click at the top of the tree on the left side then click on keywords you will have a list of all your keywords with impressions and bids. You can do the same with ads. You won't be able to view kw's and ads at same time though.
