What will be the effect of domain redirect?

What will happen if i redirect a domain with PR 3 to a domain with PR 0? Will the PR also transfer? What will be the effect of it on SERP?

The PR should transfer if you use a 301 redirect.

If you simply bought the PR 3 domain with the intention of gaining PageRank for another domain then it likely will not work.
