Mass production or careful consideration?

New Guy needs a hand!

A company has suggested using software that is apparently available enabling us to create hundreds of microsites at a time... is this type of mass production recommended or should we create them one at a time to be successful.

or c) should they be avoided?

Many thanks in anticipation

Avoid them like plague.

100 microsites going up at once is most likely going to raise a flag somewhere, particularly if they are interlinked the wrong way.

Why do you need so many sites? Can you do it with 5 sites? Utilize sub-directories to manage each specific topic?

There are many who have great success with this method. But, it is not for the inexperienced. I personally would never recommend it. I would suggest reviewing your requirements and maybe even considering a few sister sites to compliment the mother site. ;)
