Hi. I have a website and a blog. Two separate domains. Website is about 3 months older than the blog. I am trying to concentrate more on the blog now so i want to move the contents in my website to blog. Can i do this without Google or other search engines thinking i am copying? I will delete the page from my website. If that is the case will i get the benefit of original content?

Welcome to the gang coolguythampy.

Although, I wish I had the ultimate answer for you, I don't.

IMHO you shouldn't get penalized for copying some of your stuff to your blog. You can also 301 the pages to the proper blog page identification.

coolguythampy, just place the content wherever you want on the blog domain, and as Propools suggests, 301 redirect the former URL's to their new locations at the blog. That will tell the engines that the previous locations for the content were moved to new locations on the blog domain.

This assumes you don't mind the domains being associated with each other.

No i do not mind my blog and website being linked. But how to set up a 301? I once tried setting it up when i found that my website http://www.example.com and http://example.com are treated different. The result was that i couldn't access my website at all. so i quickly removed the redirection.
