I have just produced a website <snip> (the site has been up properly since August of this year). The aim is to get onto the first page of the Google page rankings (co.uk). At present the best I can get is listed on pages 4 & 5. Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong.

I am now in the process of reducing the amount of keywords in the ALT tags and making this more relevant to the page content, and perhaps looking at tweaking the copy for some of the key pages.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have read through a lot of this site and I am a previous subscriber to 'searchenginewatch.com'. For some reason on this site the ranking remains low.

You might not be doing anything wrong, it might be that you need to do more of the right things.

What are you doing to promote the site in general, and link development in particular?
