i have a domain which is a .com domain running since 4 years successfully and ranking properly. Now i have a same name domain with different Extension. I have not tried this before. It is a region specific domain. my .com is also ranking in the new Extensions region. Now i want to know that is the new Extensions can harm my .com position somehow. although both the domains will serve the similar services for different regions...

would appreciate any comment...

Regards

Duplicate content? If so, there's many comments available speaking about the down side of that. Do a little research.

no duplicate content at all... both the sites are using the fresh and copyrighted content and unique.. and .com serve the whole world except india and .in serve Indian location only...

is that something that can still hurt my .com

similarly i have a case for .net & .in domain

I have no experience in the described scenario. If each does contain original and unique content then I seriously doubt there will be any adverse conditions. However, there are those with more experience who might have other thoughts on the subject!

(again, I don't think you'll have any problems)

If each domain have different content and located on separate hosting accounts there should be no problem.
I have done this with a .com & .co.uk although the .co.uk is taking longer to rank because it is new.

1) If you are doing fine worldwide AND in India, there is no reason to mess with success.

2) If there are other countries highly relevant to your business and you are not ranking well in those countries, and if you can field different content or the same content in a different language, then those countries might be candidates for geo extensions of your domain. If you go that route, try to host the new sites in the countries being targeted.
