Hi guys,

I've been going to google.com and switching language to English, too. However, I realized today, that a friend of mine from the US didnt see 3 sites from the UK in his top 25 that I saw at #4-#6!

So obviously (maybe just in e-commerce, because it makes sense, b/c of lower shipping costs, etc.) Google favors UK pages in my (German) SERPs even though Im switching to .com and English.

Typing in Google.us hasn't worked out for me either.

Could I use a 'proxy' to see the SERPs an American whose computer is in the US might see? I have no idea what this really is, but it was suggested to me some time in the past. I assume a proxy server is a server I can sort of use to make it look like my IP address is in the US, not in Germany? Thus I would see the US Serps? Is this legal (ok depends on the German law, I guess but maybe someone knows)?

thank you!

Ive found a tool that allows me to see the US SERPs, thus no need to answer the question anymore.
